Mod Edit.  Just spotted this was a spam post when I saw the same message posted on 2nd March 2020 from a fifferent member.  I've banned this member and now removed the "hidden" links to external websites.  The post was copied from a 2015 message!.

Hi! I'm Chana.

I just set up a Windows 8.1 update on a new BaseStation .sqb file that I downloaded. PlanePlotterForum.co.uk

I found out that during this time I no longer have a ring on the base station's radar.

I tried ctrl + G and then tried the ring icon. However, no ring appears.

If I converted the BaseStation .sqb with the backup received yesterday, press again.

Very strange.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome.

I'm away from home at the moment and do not have access to my BaseStation. But, from memory:

1. The session settings are stored in the sqb file.
2. You can set the ring to appear or not.  Check the Reference Manual and save the view.

Do you have the following option ticked?

Settings | Display Settings | Display Parameters - Centre Range Rings on Home

If it is ticked and you are viewing an area away from the 'Home' location you might not see the rings.
If this box is unticked the rings will always be centred on the chart.

Might be worth a try, if this is the problem you can update the 'Home' location from the menu:

Settings | Locations Manager - Home - Lat/Long.

Cheers,

Keef.
