No idea? I haven't removed anything though it does look like this should have been a PM exchange.
Here to Help.

Shakysen ( and anyone else with an interest in Linux  ;) )

Ubuntu 12.04 has been out for a few weeks now. I've got my main computer dual booting this with Win 7.

It's a good incremental improvement on 11.10, so worth downloading.

You can find the official page for it here:

I don't like the front end of Ubuntu any more. Using Ubuntu 12.04 or Debian for servers and Linux Mint for desktop.

Hi Ian .According to my son who runs LINUX  at his department at york uni says Debian is limiting. He uses fedora .A matter of choice

IanH

I think the hardware I'm running Debian on is more limiting than the software  ;). Fedora din't support ARM CPUs until recently so that wasn't an option.

So having learnt the Debian command line instructions, I carried it on using it. And for server purposes it's all I need.

Canonical have hinted at a version of Ubuntu that will work with the Raspberry Pi.

I'm learning Fedora in the mean time in anticipation of getting my paws on a Pi by the end of June.
