Maybe it's just me?  If not, is this the end of the road?

The Kinetic website is back online as of this afternoon - Tuesday 9th April 2019.

But the forum isn't.

Clicking on the Forum link now opens a message stating that 'The Forums are now closed' which, all in all, seems pretty final.
A shame really as there was still some useful info' on there although new posts were few & far between.

Classic business school case study.

How a pioneering and once leading supplier failed to evolve and, eventually, gave up.

I guess we saw it coming years ago when Kineric failed to deliver its promised data sharing, citing security concerns, allowing FR24, FlightAware, Planefinder and even AirNav, to develop new products and revenue streams.

My only regret is BaseStstion won't benefit from added value enhancements that could help it remain the interface of choice.  For me, it's still the best.

Has anyone good Contacts to Kinetic?

Basestation 184 is now 6 years old :-(

What do you think about to ask Kinetic to Release Basestation under opensource (like github).

Kind Regards

I've met David Goodman a few times.  I'll see if he's contactable and put forward your suggestion

ii looks like the Kinetic Forum has disappeared?

My usual link returns a blank page as does the link from the Kinetic Avionic Products website.

Is anyone else experiencing this too?

Hi All,
I was also wondering if Base Station could eventually go open source.  Any possible updates on this topic??

From what I hear, most of the Kinetic team has dispersed.

And I would think David Goodman would place a monetary value on the BaseStation software.  And maybe it's not fit to become "open source" software?  Not documented with, possibly, proprietary code?
