In partnership with FlightAware:

https://flightaware.com/commercial/aireon/

Don't tell AirNav (or FR24 for that matter - gone quiet there?)

https://www.radarbox24.com/blog/space-based-ads-b

And now what?
AirNav Systems will deploy more ADS-B nano-satellites - reaching a total of 88 - in the coming months which will improve the satellite coverage. Here is our timeline:

Q1 2019 - First Satellites Active
Q2 2019 - Full Coverage between North 30 and South 30
Q3 2019 - Partial Polar Coverage
Q4 2019 - Full Worldwide Coverage (Space Based ADS-B)

But we still need ground-based ADS-B receivers for MLAT.

Does this require the aircraft to broadcast a "correct" HEX code.  I notice that EI-EKR (the Ryanair B737) is still broadcasting incorrect codes and has been on and off for a number of years.  There was also an American 777 ( or was it a 767) that pretended to be a Cessna 172 occasionally.

How does this system track aircraft in these cases.  Perhaps they have a better database than basestation.sqb :))))

I don't think "they" care about the code/aircraft tie up.  Just as long as they can track the flight.
