Title: AirNav in Space
Post by: Anmer on October 12, 2017, 03:19:46 PM
Strange, I thought AirNav had the first space based ADS-B receivers in 2009?

Now it reckons it will be 2018.  :) Late as usual.

FR24 and FlightAware better watch out.

Let's hope AirNav does a better job in Space than it did with old fashioned ATC:

As stated by Ingo and also elsewhere in this and other threads VHF was not applied to any further units as it was causing problems with ADS-B coverage.  As ADS-B is the primary reason for receivers with VHF a nice to have add on the decision was taken to stop the VHF transmissions until a fix was found.  I believe that work is on going to re-instate VHF coverage and to give users control over the frequencies they cover but have no idea when that will be.

And it has the gall to charge $650 for a ConStation (sic)

I received an email from The Chief Thief announcing AirNav is into Satellite Base ADSB.

WOW ! High sounding. In addition, they plan to launch a Micro-Satellite -a square box ...

Well - I won't go near their Con-Station, even with a 50 feet pole. I feel sorry for those who got Conned and wasted their good hard earned money on the Con-Station

( Note: Until today, my cats refused to pooh & pee on my AirNav Receiver - sorry guys, please don't blast me ).
