This is just one of the airlines facing this issue. One of the only airlines that I know off that doesn't have assigned seating. Some call the planes flying cattle cars because everybody rushes aboard looking for a good seat.

I use to fly the Red eye from San Diego to Phoenix, AZ a lot. Less than 10 people total and that included the crew members. Was nice.

Boeing's weakness has a lesser known plane maker from Brazil gearing up to compete, and American Airlines' CEO is a fan.

Embraer already has a big presence here in the United States with the regional airlines and some major ones.

Airbus and Embraer should take this opportunity with all the Boeing issues to take over some of the market from Boeing. Some airlines here are cutting back on routes with some cancelling because of issues getting planes from Boeing.
