There's a new Beta version of Basestation on the Kinetic website.
There's also new SBS-3 fimware to go with it. The new release is principally for SBS-3 customers.
Please read the accompanying Release Notes. And if anyone can explain how the "SBS-3 as a TCP/IP client" can be used, please explain. ???

In simple terms the current set up is you tell your program to find the SBS-3
You can now tell the SBS-3 to find your program
A lot more to it than that and good for remote located boxes

Thanks Chris.
What programs would typically use this feature?
The funny thing with Kinetic is there is never a problem till it's fixed. ??? lol
Thank you for fixing the
" Background Whistle " that has been around for about 3 years.
I had convinced myself that all British wide band radios where made that way to give it a special sound.
Glad to see the software development moving forward. Nice Job!

Thanks Chris.

3rd Party writers have been requesting this facility Mike so I guess people like FR24 and Pinkfroot could use it for example

You need a firmware upgraded "Firmware 118 is required"

Hi
Thanks to the guys for the updates
Up and working
Brian
Has anyone had problems with the v178 beta release?
It has been working fine here, but yesterday when I clicked on any menu item I got an error in the form:-
quote
Error : EOutOfResources - Error creating window device context
Last Command : INSERT INTO Flights(SessionID, AircraftID, StartTime, Callsign) VALUES (8,
113466, '2012-12-31 11:30:49.737', '')
Last Aircraft : 7C6B2D
unquote
I could not clear this error and in the end uninstalled Basestation and reinstalled v175, this once again worked OK.
I then updated it once more to v178 and got the same errors as above.
Now back on v175 and all is well, seems strange, I have been using v178 since it came out a couple of weeks ago. I have 12 gigs of RAM on this PC, so no shortage of space there.
(I have sent the error messages to Kinetics email address)
