Thought I'd put the radarbox to the test.
I am currently sat in the renaissance hotel at Heathrow, I had the radarbox and a dongle running.
The dongle caught every movement. The radarbox missed almost everything.
I have now unplugged the radarbox and am ready to send it back to them for a refund, Sbs is the way forward. Need to set the sbs3 up i got for christmas.

Are you referring to the AirNav Radarbox?
In my experience it should work as well as a DVB-T "dongle".
I am Anmer
Check the antenna and connection (and any Radarbox software settings).
Are you receiving any aircraft?
I have attached two screenshots the first is planeplotter the second is air nav
[Attachment deleted by Admin to save file space]
i receive aircraft but only a handful compared to the dongle.
It is worrying especially as the aerials are next to each other, within a foot.
Thanks.
It appears that the PP screen has sharing enabled. Are all the aircraft from your dongle?
Yes Green is local and red is shared data.
I also have sharing enabled in radarbox and realtime as i took advantage of the trial.
Thanks.
Some RadarBoxes have suffered from a hardware failure (SAW filter) which reduces the number of aircraft messages received. I've heard a rumour that Waters & Stanton have supplied previously returned receivers as part of the sell-off but I must stress it's just a rumour.
If it were me, I'd get a full refund.
I am definatly thinking of doing so as i have even reducd the screen refresh rate down to half a second and no change.
I have an 8gb ram laptop so could easily handle to extra load.
Its a mystery buti will return to Waters & Stanton armed with the screen shots to prove to them that the receiver is not working as supposed to.
