Hi Frank,
For me, Active Display is still well worth the small annual subsciption fee.  It does still seem to populate most of the unknown aircraft but for me it is invaluable as an easy means of viewing the aircraft captured during the day (or session), noting anything of interest and updating any database entries that still need populating or need their operator flags updating.  I find it much easier to use and visually more pleasing than Basestation Reporter. The lack of route and photo look up is a minor issue for me but you can still enter route data manually (although I only do this for long distance routes as its a tedious process).
Regards
H
Title: is it worth renewing? Yes it is if we can get the software

I for one would take the steps to finance the server and some good IT people can work over the software to enable Active Display to operate again, to please many members, a license would cover the costs involved, but first, we have to get permission to do this, Posts have only gone cold as many do not know what can be done,
I hope my thoughts bring good vibes, john

Thanks John.

I'm sure others would make a similar offer but it would need the cooperation of Gary's daughter and/or GAS.  And a good business case with a proper development spec.

Oh, and expertise.
