Good morning all , having problems with my sbs1 all lights show but the blue ones ,i have removed program but it does not clear the problem when i reinstall ,anybody point me to what the problem is?
Best regards Chimney 1
The blue lights indicate the aircraft messages received volume.
Check your antenna and connections.
Thanks for the reply checked another aerial and usb cable still showing all six lights but no blue ones Chimney 1.
What antenna do you normally use? The supplied magmount or an external one. What was the alternative antenna that you just tried?
i have an external one and i tried the original one supplied when first purchased but with no luck. In the past it was just the 1st three lights on The box has not received damage in any way i have tried the link tester and it tells me D2xxx driver failed Chimney1
If the SBS is working OK and you have a suitable antenna and good connection, you should see the blue lights without connecting to the BaseStation software.
Do you have another receiver with which you can test the antenna?
Tested the aerial works fine on realistic pro2022 receiver i think i have loaded and removed the sbs 1 so many times i dont know where i try next Chimney1
Thanks.
I assume it's a BNC connection? Which antenna works fine on your Pro2022 receiver. I understand the Pro2022 is a scanner?
My external aeriel works fine on the scanner i seem to have encountered some form of problem the unit seems to have received reports on the 19th but since i have tried to use last couple of days nothing received according to base station reporter Chimney1
Sorry to labour this point. Is the external antenna tuned for ADS-B?
The external aeriel is a BS1100 purchased from Martin Lynch is it tuned to 1090 mhz?
Thanks. That's a suitable antenna.
It's possible that the SBS-1 has a hardware fault. If you've attached an alternative, ADS-B tuned antenna, placed where it can receive aircraft messages and still no blue lights, this could be the cause.
Are you close to another SBS user who could test the SBS-1 on his/her setup?
Plugged it into another computer still showing six lights where can i get somebody to look at the unit thanking you for the help Chimney
Moonraker (Chris Taylor) may be able to help you:

Fantastic thanks for your help
I now have the first 2 lights showing plus 3 blues after speaking to the people at Moonraker but still no connection to my box.glad it wasnt a hardware issue Chimney1
Great. What did you do to get the blue lights back?
Are you now saying that BaseStation doesn't display any aircraft?
Good morning, i have reinstalled my SBS 1 after having problems with all lights showing columns are showing but all it shows is the hex code no reg and no operator logo am i missing some files? your help would be appreciated Chimney
You've probably got a new BaseStation.sqb file with the OperatorFlagCode field unpopulated.
See this Guide. It should help you:

If you can find it you can easily install the old sqb file. But where it is, if anywhere, is anyone's guess.
Did you back it up?
One option is to use Windows Explorer to search for all files on your hard drive(s) with an sqb extension.
