Title: innocent until proven guilty
Post by: mhm on February 03, 2012, 12:37:09 PM
We seem to have a lot of people being tried in the press before a trial has been held. How can anyone have a fair hearing with all being published in the press before a court appearance.

At least Capello has until now maintained the position that Terry is innocent until proven guilty.

One of the downsides of being in the public eye I'm afraid.

Not sorry to see him stripped of the England captaincy.  Only thing worst would be to give it to Ashley Cole.

Brilliant piece by Simon Barnes in today's Times.

Terry has been found guilty on numerous occasions but no one has the balls (sic) to pass sentence.

Discuss.....

I do remember the time when Terry parked his 4 x 4 behind a car in a disabled parking space so that it could not get out while he and his family went to lunch. The police were called and he ended up with a fine. That incident summed up the arrogance of him and many of those overpaid louts.

One of the points made by Simon Barnes today.  Arrogance was a word he used a few times in his article.

If you or I were due in court do you think they would delay the trial until after you've represented your country at sport?  Didn't think so! ;)

Who would you want to replace Terry as captain.

Up for you to discuss.

I don't understand why JT has been stripped of the captaincy, nothing has been proved yet so until they find him guilty then he should remain as captain.
I guess Steven Gerrard would be in line for the armband then Frank Lampard if all are fit that is.
