Any ideas why when I turned on my desktop today,on Windows 10, all the desktop icons have migrated to the left hand side of the screen?

Thanks for that link Mike I did resort in the end to the "drag and drop method" only to find that every time the computer was re-booted the icons went left again! Then as mysteriously as the problem arose it went away.Around about the this all occurred there were two Windows updates so I am hoping that these updates caused and subsequently cured the problem only time will tell.
If Shakey reads this post thank you for your input I continue to play with your suggestions!
