Title: FR24 Hawks
Post by: Anmer on June 17, 2020, 03:19:07 PM
Not seen these appearing before on FR24.  Seen them on my PiAware map as MLAT plots but never before on FR24.

An oversight or change in polocy on displaying military types?

I've seen a lot more military transports transmitting positional (ADS-B) data too, notably C17s and C30Js.  A400s have been appearing for some time.

However, these RAF Hawks are "tracked" by FR24 using MLAT and are not normally displayed on its website or apps (or on SBS/BaseStation).  FR24's policy has been to "block" such types or, at best, only show the aircraft ICAO type code.

I've not seen HAWK types displayed before and am wondering if it's a change in policy or an oversight.  I suspect the latter as it's not showing similar types such as T6 Texans from RAF Valley.
