Title: Raspberry Pi- Feeding more than one site.
Post by: KenR on October 13, 2020, 07:16:04 PM
I have recently successfully (with help from posts documented here) got a Pi 3B+ with Flightaware dongle and filter, feeding Flightaware.   My next step is to feed other sites (Flightradar24 and Planefinder) and have a feed available for my SBS1-ER.

Any views on running Flightaware, flightradar24, and planefinder feeders on ONE raspberry pi ?

i have already ordered a MINI CIRCUITS ZB4PD1-2000 POWER SPLITTER, to enable feeds to the pi and my SBS.

I am worried three feeds may overload the Pi 3B+

Thanks

Ken

Shouldn't be a problem.

This may help:

I am running a Pi3b with both 1090ES and 978UAT dongles. I am feeding FR24, Flightaware, ADSBX and my own personal virtual radar server with no issues. If I had it to do over, I would not waste the time nor money on the 978UAT because there is just not that much traffic on it. On the ES side I see about 1300 A/C a day on the UAT side at most 20.
