Title: SBS CRASH AFTER CLICKING SETTINGS??
Post by: SteveHibberd on March 13, 2021, 01:18:55 PM
Hello All
I have recently started getting this 'issue'.
Right, you boot up BS everything works fine. When you go to settings, then to display settings, BS completley locks up and freezes. (its only in display settings and nothing else)
I am using windows 7 64 bit. I used to use the C:KINETIC location, I have tried on the default installion too and getting the same issue.
Any ideas please?
Kind regards
Steve

Hi Steve

Maybe running short of memory?  Too many files in OperatorFlags folder?

Try renaming the folder and creating a new one, empty.

Do you still get the crash?

Yes that appears to have worked, something else to blame the lockdown on, doing too many flags lol.
As matter of interest, do you know if there is a top end limit/file size for ops flags.
Thanks as ever though Anmer :)

That's what usually causes these crashes.

I'm not aware of a definitive limit but have seen it happen around the 10k file count.  How many did you have in the folder?

That explains it then, not far short of that number.
Gonna have to do some shuffling about I think
