Title: Unusual planes you've spotted
Post by: JayM on July 23, 2021, 11:33:55 AM
My location is near Cebu, Philippines, and this afternoon local time I saw a plane from MyAir, MyWay Airlines, based in Tblisi Georgia pass over Danao City just north of me. Sadly he wasn't sending his route information. Per Wikipedia they only had one route as of May of this year, Tblisi to Ben Gurion Airport, Israel, so I have no idea what he was doing in SE Asia. Maybe refueling?

What unusual flights have you spotted?

Too many to list  :)

My guess the aircraft was on a chartered flight, possibly carrying cargo.

Most airlines have aircraft needing work and have been flying charter flights, often carrying cargo on passenger seats as well as in the hold.

You're probably right. There probably aren't many Georgians visiting the Holy Land during the pandemic so they may have chartered their planes to others. His altitude change indicates that he was about to land but unfortunately I wasn't able to see as I was busy doing something else at the same time and missed it.
