Since AIS is ship related, you may not get too many replies.  ;)

To make use of any AIS data (are you near the sea?) you need something like ShipPlotter to present the received data.

This post on the Kinetic forum may help:

Try this out

Setup AIS on Ethernet.

BASESTATION.

Setup Basestation first if you have updated firmware and software you will now
have 2 tuner channels and 6 radio channels.

Setup AIS in tuner B with freqs 161.000 Squelch off and put 161.9750 in SDR 6
and set it as FM to tuner B.

Next goto start basestation and goto Hardware Setting then Network Settings
and put your IP in address and port 10001, Next goto Settings Non Volatile Memory Settings
put your IP address in and port 10001.

Next step Basestation Settings Data Scource chance to Use Network then save the settings
in Non Volatile Memory/Store Radio Settings.

Shipplotter.

Open Shipplotter and click on I/P Settings TCP/IP input tick Client put 30007 in Remote port
and your IP in Remote IP slot.

Put the Red End of lead in your usb port to your sbs3 box.
