Not often you see Mountain Rescue/Coastguard at work.
Tonight, 23/1/22 at 19.19 GMT. G-MCGH S-92 is currently on a rescue operation, directly at the back of my house. It appears they are doing an airlift off Wildbank Hill, Tameside, Greater Manchester, which is less than 0.5 miles away from me and in full view of the back of my house.
G-MCGH lifted off the away from Wildbank Hill at 19.55hrs and then headed for Tameside Hospital in Ashton, a flight time of 2 minutes from rescue site on the hill to Hospital. Must be one of the fastest transfers to a hospital ever in a helicopter.
