Title: Updating flags and countries dat file.
Post by: CloudWarrior on September 04, 2022, 11:58:24 AM
Morning all, I have been having a few issues with my Basestation, the main one being a corrupted SQB. Thats sorted now but I had to uninstall and reinstall basestation on my PC.
This has ended up with the original countries dat file and original flag set in the installation
I would like to install the newer flag set which includes military flags.
Whats the best way to do this? Is it a simple copy and paste or do I have to alter anything else in settings?
  TIA

If you have the original countries.dat file, just copy and replace the newer one.

Ive tried this but the flag column shows no flags.
Ive copy and pasted the new flag set into the flag file as well.

Where's the sqb file, what folder and path?

And where have you pasted the original countries.dat file - folder and path?

Apologies for the late reply Anmer.
The path for both SQB and Countries.dat file is
C: / programme files(x86) / Kinetic / Basestation
I can also access them via
C: / Users / Owner / App data / local / Virtual Store / Programme Files x86 / Kinetic / Basestation

cheers

This issue has been sorted now, again Anmer thanks for your input.
Decided to ditch windows 7 and use windows 10 on a newer laptop and found it a lot easier without the virtual store scenario.
