Hi. My first post after 16 years! I have just successfully reinstalled my 2005 SBS 1 which has lay idol with the advent of FR24 etc on to my 5 year old laptop. My old tower PC was disposed of some years ago so I no longer have any data from that installation. I have the original Kinetic CD but used the online software with version 184 on it. It is running well using the roof antenna at my high location about 20 miles east of Gatwick. The range is around 150 miles southwest towards Devon and north towards Birmingham depending on the aircrafts' altitude of course. Is there a simple way please of de-cluttering the information on the screen like removing the squawk and hex code and the heading for each aircraft please? Is there a current resource for airport outlines for Heathrow, Gatwick and Biggin and for their approach paths? Some modern waypoints would be good as well. I realise a lot of these may no longer be available.
Welcome
Customising the map is covered in this Guide:
My SBS-1 Setup (https://radarspotting.com/forum/index.php?action=tportal;sa=download;dl=item50)
Pages 14 onwards.
The Basestation Reference Manual (https://radarspotting.com/forum/index.php?action=tportal;sa=download;dl=item456) is also available for download.
Approach paths can be found here (https://radarspotting.com/forum/index.php?action=search).
Waypoints are easy to create and Bones' Tutorial (http://woodair.net/sbs/Article/Barebones32_BaseStation.htm) should help..
I've emailed you my outline files for Heathrow, Gatwick and Bigging Hill.
Thanks Mike. That is very kind. I will go through the Guides although I have already spent some hours going through some of the older material. If I run into issues perhaps I can get back to you for help?
Regards.
Peter.

Absolutely, that's why we're here.
