I have SBS running on 2 different laptops.
One is running WIN7 and the countries.dat with all the updated country bmp flags works fine.
My other laptop is running WIN10 and will only work using the default countries.dat. (BS loads up, but then just closes without an error message)
On both laptops, the installation is c:/kinetic so avoiding the program files folder.
Has anyone else having this issue or know what I can do to rectify it please.

Hi Steve

Is the Countries.dat file the exact same one on each PC?

Can you email me a copy of each one, naming the one from the Win10 PC "Countries10.Dat".

The file worked OK for me.

It could be "blocked". Check the file Properties. I've emailed you a screenshot, see attached.
