Thanks for that, and sorry for the slow response. I normally get email notification when someone posts here, but I didn't this time. Could be a consequence of the website upgrade?

Yes, the upgrade saw a new Notification panel, part of the login dropdown. The previous Notification settings didn't seem to get carried over.

Here you can set your personal Notifications.
