Title: 2 X CALLSIGN UPAVON QUERY
Post by: Sketco on March 03, 2024, 12:32:35 PM
I currently have 2 a/c 43C9BE and 43C9AF both callsign UPAVON on VRS (out of UPAVON airfield).
G-INFO has no record of the hex's and browser search only returned a list of previously noted flights from UPAVON (Trenchard Lines).
Live view of UPAVON shows only:
G-CJKK 405BD3
G-CHYS 405BD4
ZE560 DDE6D4
ZE609 DDE687
Can anyone shed some light on the 2 unid hex's for me please. They pop in and out of the VRS map at between 700 and 1200feet. I am aware the Skylark3 UAV's are under test at UPAVON but this is mere speculation on the UNID (to me) hex's

They are both training gliders for the army.
You will find various callsigns showing up on many of the aircraft tracking sites i had 5 queries on this airfield before see how many you can find.
Freedar gives good coverage of them

Ah excellent, thanks for that. Makes sense the others listed show up as gliders as well.
