hi,
when I open up Virtual Radar the map does not display properly. Can anyone tell me what causes this , is it a problem with the browser or windows 11 ? I've tried it with a different browser same result.
thanks
Does it display OK if you zoom in?
not really , I've tried zooming in and out . it either stays the same or the image is blurred.
I've noticed this on on radar exchange as well . it sems to happen when I'm looking at my own feed.
How much RAM do you have on the computer?
32Gb Ram 2x16
Could I ask you a question not related to this on, Why is my Basestation.ini file in the virtual store ?, shouldn't it be in the Kinetic/Basestation folder ? why does it do that ?
thank you

That sound OK. Does Google Maps open OK for you?

Did you install BaseStation to the default location in Program Files or in a directory of choice?
What's the folder path for your BaseStation.exe?
yes , I can open google maps in my browser ,no problems.
If I change the settings in VR Tools/Options to google maps I get an old version of google maps displayed correctly with a watermark,
with a msg This page can't load Google Maps correctly.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Kinetic\BaseStation

Why do you also have a Kinetic\Basestion folder?
Quote from: Dreamliner787 on March 14, 2025, 09:58:12 AMshouldn't it be in the Kinetic/Basestation folder ?
Ref Google maps,
had to nip out there for a bit ;D
It displays ok, if I zoom in and out theres a little bit of lag displaying map but then displays ok.
Ref https://www.openstreetmap.org/
the map loads the same as above.
Why do you also have a Kinetic\Basestion folder?
not sure what you mean ?
You asked about that folder. Why?
Your BaseStation appears to be installed in ProgramFiles so you shouldn't have a Kinetic folder.
If you Google Windows VirtualStore it will explain why some files are there.
"Your BaseStation appears to be installed in ProgramFiles so you shouldn't have a Kinetic folder".
does it make any difference ?
There's nothing more I can add.
could you please explain
I've answered as best I can.
Google VirtualStore to understand how it works.
I assume you don't have a folder named Kinetic/Basestation. In which case why ask the question?
