Radarspotting

I have transferred my sbs1 to a new laptop and it works
ok except I can not get any registration info.

Welcome.

You've probably not transferred the "active" BaseStation.sqb file.

A couple of questions:

• How did you install BaseStation on the new laptop?  CD file install or copied files from the old PC?
• What was the BaseStation location on the old PC?  The directory and path?
• What' the BaseStation location on the new laptop?  Directory and path?

This will be a simple fix.

Installed from cd.
Old laptop c:programme files kinetic basestation
New Laptop c:programme files kinetic basestation

Thanks.  Since your BaseStation installations are in the default ProgramFiles locations, the dreaded VirtualStore is in play.

Basically, there are "hidden" files in the VirtualStore, such as the BaseStation.sqb file.  The one that's visible in ProgramFiles is a "ghost" empty file.  Google VirtualStore for more information.  Better than me trying to explain here.

You need to copy the sqb file from the old PC VirtualStore and place in the same location on the new laptop.
