I have recently migrated on to a new hard drive. Previously the SBS internal radio would initiate and work on start up. However since the migration it will only start after physically turning it on through the built in radio menu.
As I copied the basestation.ini directly to the new drive I assume all the settings are the same so does anyone have any idea how I might get the radio to start at program start again please?
thanks
How are you listening to the radio - audio cable from sound card, direct from SBS-1eR or audio streaming?
It is an audio cable from the SBS to the sound card. SBS is connected by USB.
Annoyingly, if I boot using the old drive and start BS the radio still starts automatically! There must be something blocking it on the new drive.

Check the sound settings in Control Panel.
This isn't a Basestation control.
Thanks for the reply but it seems to be a BS problem as when I select the built in radio control panel the display shows 'off'.
Have you turned it on and then closed Basestation? Is it on when you then relaunch Basestation?
I've just tested this here and if the radio is Off or On when I close Basestation, that's the state it's in when I relaunch Basestation. There is a delay of a few seconds.
Looking at the Basestation.ini file, this line may reflect the On/Off condition.. I stress "may":
InternalFreqModeValue=0 (Off)
InternalFreqModeValue=2 (On)
I did the same test as Anmer but got this:
Off state:
[InternalRadioInterface]
InternalFreqModeValue=0
On state
[InternalRadioInterface]
InternalFreqModeValue=1
Tim
My .ini shows:
[ViewSettings]
ShowInternalRadioToolbar=1
ShowDisplayTogglesToolbar=0
[InternalRadioInterface]
InternalRadioConfigured=1
InternalFreqModeValue=1
InternalFrequencyValue=120675 (presumably the default freq)
InternalFreqDesc=
InternalSquelchValue=20
InternalMuteValue=0
InternalVolumeValue=100
Internal833KHz=0
InternalPresetFrequency-0=120675
InternalPresetFreqMode-0=1
InternalPresetFreqDesc-0=
InternalPresetFrequency-1=121575
InternalPresetFreqMode-1=1
InternalPresetFreqDesc-1=
Strange that Yours and T7's values are different. Maybe I'll just have to remember to turn it on each time!

Hi Guys
I have only just looked at the SBS1-er radio (I already have a radio scanner which can pick up ACARS and feed it into PP).
I am able to stream the radio down to my PC via the ethernet link from the SBS1-er and the sounds are coming through my PC speakers using the suggestion in the manual that came with the 1090 Puck.
I am using a Creative Audigy Plantinum sound card and can stream from SBS1-er to the PC using VLC Player or Quicktime player.
What I want to do now is to transfer the stream to PP to get ACARS data for uploading to PP.
Any help appreciated.
Charlie
You need the sound card to send the output back into the PC for use in another program.
IIRC, the Audigy has something called "what U hear" which does that - long time since I played with an Audigy so all a bit vague.
Edit: I said it was a long time ago - just did a quick search and this is not available in Win 7.
So you need an alternative which I described to Shaky on here some time ago - just need to find it!
Having been reminded I promised an answer ;), I found these links which originally enabled me to feed audio out back into the system:
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/39532/how-to-enable-stereo-mix-in-windows-7-to-record-audio/
http://www.sevenforums.com/sound-audio/162990-possible-direct-audio-output-input-mic.html
Let me know if it works or I need to find more info.
Ian
Hi IainH thanks for your prompt replies. However no joy.
I'll repost here in case other forum members can help.
I have a SBS1er and have used my Icom ICR-20 hand held scanner to feed in ACARS to Planeplotter via the input in my Creative Soundblaster Audigy Plantinum soundcard to my PC.
Via the network, I am able to stream the internal radio audio to my PC using VLC and Quicktime medioa players.
However I am unable to get the stream transferred to PP.
I was wondering if I am needing to make any changes in the BaseStation / Settings / Hardware Settings / Radio and Audio.
Present settings are attached below:
BaseStation version is 1.2.4.183 with Windows 7 64 bit version
Regards,
Charlie
