The F-14 Tomcat was my favorite military aircraft. For many years they were a part of my daily life both at home and work. Was sad when they were moved out of NAS Miramar and finally retired. The Iranians kept them flying for a long time but they were no match for the aircraft of today. Our F-14's ended up being stored in the desert and Iran's were or will be destroyed in the desert.
