Dear All,
I am in the process of creating a aviation website which will cover all Italian civil and military
aviation.
What I wanted to create was a database within the website where users can come and search for
aircraft information. The problem is that I am not sure how to build this database and if there is
a specific software out there. The database I wanted was something like the one on the scramble.nl
website.
I wanted to ask if there are any computer experts here that could guide me on where to start.
Best Regards

Hi Paul
You probably need to start with a website hosting package that supports a database, such as MySQL.
This may get you started along the learning path:
http://dev.mysql.com/tech-resources/articles/ddws/
Downloaded MYSQL from their website. But when opening up the programme it opens up a black screen with a prompt.
As I am not good at all with coding I am not sure where to begin. Can someone please
help.
Paul
Mysql is very difficult to explain. The book i have on it is over 800 pages.
A good place to start is here.http://www.roseindia.net/mysql/
Good luck
Paul
It may be better to go along this route as databases have been built already, you just download and go.
Follow this link scroll down and download the free trial of aircraft database. and see how you go.

One thing to bear in mind is what databases are supported by your hosting provider.
