I like seeing some of my tax dollars at work. What the story doesn't mention is how money from the airshows go into all the units on a base that hold an airshow. Units offer food, beverage and unit items like shirts, hat, patches and challenge coins. That money goes into the unit and a base fund to help support what the government doesn't.

If airshows weren't held people would be wondering what the military was hiding. I know the airshow here in San Diego makes money. Attendance numbers can be between 550,000 to 750,000 people over the period of the show. Depends on weather and if something else better is in town.

Keep em flying.   8)
