Radarspotting

Hello,

not sure if I should pose this question here or in the Planeplotter section.

I have been trying to use Planeplotters Beamfinder function.
So far with limited success.

Has anybody else tried this  with the GNS?
Does it work with the GNS at all ?

If I open the pulse rate window for Mode A/C and S I do not get any pattern similar to those shown in the demos.
Actually it is only a line of regular pulses.
The Mode C (Altitude) window shows the aircraft changing altitude.

On the outline map I do see radar beams and have logged them (II-1 to S-61)
These log files can get quite big.
However Mode-S radar beams are relatively rare

Using the PP radar analysis tool and the radar location data fom jetvision I think I have identified a number of radars (Maastricht SI-38, Herwijnen II-10 and Cologne Si-22&I-10) - but am very unsure.

My location : close to EDLW

Does somebody have a radar.txt file suitable for NW Germany ?
