Thanks to Andy's excellent work we have seen a flurry of new sharers on PP , most becoming Ground Stations for the Mlat network .
As there are further developments in the pipeline could I ask that everyone keeps an eye on the PP Yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/planeplotter/ as well as radarspotting.com in order to keep up to date.
I will try to keep RS current with new functions , but this is a busy time for PP
as we expand the Sector Master User system and bring yet more features to users.
Happy New Year.
John
Where's Radar Spotting.com?
I have no idea how to use the command line to set the Dongle up for mlat with PlanePlotter. Can anyone give an explanation of this in layman's terms?
2. Getting started
2.1 Command line parameters
RTL1090 offers a choice of parameters to operate the app from a batch file.
The select parameter should be added to a Windows commandline or a Windows short cut icon caller entry, e.g.
"rtl1090 /run /min"
The order of parameters is of no relevance.
Parameters:
- "/run" automatically starts the app after a few seconds
- "/min" minimizes the app to systray after start
- "/avr" outputs data at TCP port in AVR format instead of Beast binary format
- "/log" creates a logfile from the list display
Note: Logs are stored in the app folder when list refreshes. Please also note that list display and/or
log files slow down the system considerably and packets may get lost during thiskind of operation
- "/portbase=31020" sets a fixed port for TCP and UDP other than the default one (see chapter 4)
- "/udptarget=31110" sets a fixed port for the UDP chain target app (see chapter 4)
-"/multilat1" - enables Multilateration operation with Planeplotter
Perhaps if someone has already got theirs up and running they could post a run-through of how it was done?
Many thanks
Stephen
Success! :) The problem has been solved over on the PP forum.
Response from egos_1
"Hi Stephen,
What I have done is create a shortcut on the desktop to RTL1090
Right click on rtl1090.exe and send to desktop (create shortcut)
Then right click on the shortcut, select properties and where it says "Target" add /multilat1 to
the end of the line
Mine looks like this C:\Radar\rtl1090-latest-build\rtl1090.exe /multilat1
Then check for multilat1 when starting rtl1090 in the main window next to
command.
Hope this helps
