Title: Laser pens 'threaten Gatwick passenger safety'
Post by: mhm on January 08, 2013, 10:16:14 AM
Hundreds of lives are being put at risk by people shining laser pens in the eyes of pilots flying from Gatwick Airport, says a Sussex MP.

Henry Smith, the Tory MP for Crawley, said the government should consider classing the pens as offensive weapons.

He said: "[The pens] can potentially endanger hundreds of lives in the air and on the ground."

About time the courts gave very long sentances.
