Anteni got back to me about this, their directional antenna
http://www.anteni.net/adsb/index.html#!/~/product/category=3647502&id=15504150
I'm sure Yavor wouldn't mind me quoting him.
"Hi Stephen,
Coaxial connection 3m to SMAmale is included in the set. The sensitivity of the receiver is multiplied 6 times ( 3 times more, compared with the most common used antennas 4dBi ). It's hard to predict the range but tested with microADSB-usb it gives more than 250NM.
It should be borne in mind taht the antenna is coverin sector about 50 degree in horizon.
Best regards
Yavor
Comments from those of you with more knowledge of antennas than I?
Stephen
Still doesn't say alot.
How did they test it, where did they test it. What did they test it against, Results ?
Think they need to speak to Mike on testing and help in preparing information. ;D
Yavor has always offered excellent support and the micoADSB is a good value receiver.
But I'm still not sure how this setup will add more aircraft than my SBS-3 and external antenna with masthead preamp?
Maybe some polar diagrams will help?
Not disputing the Microadsb receiver, i use one.

Would be nice to see some details of this
