Has anybody tried to run an SBS-1er with the Beta V118 Firmware for the SBS3?
I wonder if it would work...

Yes, I'm running it with no problem.

But some have had issues which, I think, may be affecting a particular batch of SBS-3.

118 is for the SBS-3 not the SBS-1eR
