Picked up this morning SVF861 hex 4A81E6 type SABR1 (Sabre 40) as picked up from AD database. Methinks there is something wrong with this. Any ideas anyone?
No, it's right!
86001, Swedish AF Tp 86 (Sabreliner 65) landed RAF Northolt this morning.

In all its glory.
;D
Thanks guys, The reason I was sceptical was that the 2012 edition of Military Aircraft Serial Review from On Dutch Wings does not list any Sabres with the Swedish Mil.
Regards
Apparently she's here for the Northolt Photoshoot which takes place this evening. Departure is scheduled for 0900 tomorrow.

Yes I understand that but this airframe is quite old and I didn't think it would be first choice for a new aircraft on strength in the last year. Although I shouldn't forget the RAF is buying 50 year old frames!. LOL :-\
Mike
They're not really 50 years old. There is probably very little left of the original hulls.
Now some of the KC-135s really are that age, including the avionics.

Very true Tom, but don't forget that all KC-135s are having major avionics upgrades under the PACER CRAG program.
You can see a few photos of the aircraft from the night shoot last night

Yes they are now, and they need it. I don't know how many times I've been mlatting a KC when the pilot has given his position to ATC up to 100 miles from where he actually is.

Nice pics, Ian. Nice to see one of my old cabs, ZD703 looking so good. The last photo I saw of it was on Flickr, a good shot but the Photographer titled it Dominie CC3!
BTW the IAC AW139 is mis-titled AW109. The IAC did the trials for the type. In my opinion the AAC should have bought some.
