Post by: viking9 on March 14, 2013, 07:44:19 PM
Screenshot from PP at 1921 today. Antenna is on chimney of bungalow about 18' above ground 300' ASL. Antenna has 0 Db gain and no amp feeding a Beast Mk 2 through 10mtrs of Westflex W103. Outer ring is 230nm. All my aircraft.

Sadly this antenna is no longer available.

Thanks for that.

Like your map, is it in ATC style? very good range to the east. How about the west?

The chart is the UK TACAN routes which you can find here;

I have no range to the west as I'm 30m up on the east slope of an 850m mountain - Slieve Donard.

Excellent aerial, I have had one now for about 2 years on an old military 12m mast. Have had to take it down as not got a garden currently  :(

My parents live on the other side of your mountain near Dromara.

Nice to meet you. I sometimes come back through Dromara on my way from the Sprucefield Centre.

You too!

Below is an image of what I used to get with this aerial on my 12m mast.
Was located about 18 miles south of BHX.
