Interesting email received today from AirNav:
Do you have a mode-s receiver and it's not a RadarBox?
Want to share data to RadarBox24.com?
We've started today beta testing of our brand new Data Sharing application.
Apply now and benefit from new features when they become available.

I wonder why AirNav needs data from other receivers? It claims to be the world's most popular provider of ADS-B data and RadarBox is the world's best selling receiver. So what gives?
And what happened to the earlier claim?
"Unlike with other online flight trackers, RadarBox24 doesn't have data inconsistencies caused from volunteer data feeders using external unreliable hardware and software"
Perhaps these claims were overstated and AirNav desperately needs "our" data to compete? For example, Flightradar24 get's its data from only 1,300 receivers yet displays far more than RadarBox24, as shown here (http://radarspotting.com/forum/index.php/topic,2405.msg11224.html#msg11224).
So what do we get in return for sharing our data with RadarBox24? Will the same data be distributed to the RadarBox network? Will we get free use of RadarBox24 Premium and the mobile apps? Who knows.
Would you share your data with AirNav?
Definitely not! >:(
Not a snowball's chance in hell! >:(
Not a chance - I supply FR24, PP amd Mil Mode S that's enough
>:(
Why would i want to
Not a hair (on my relatively bold) head that would even remotely consider this.
No.
No chance.
I had forgotten that I subscribed to their forum newsletters.
Could not see a way to delete my membership of their forum so I put in a new nonsense email address.
I've been try to find out how to upload to Mil Mode S but have been unable to get a link to their website.

NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
They should fix old problems before going for something else.
NO NO NO... I wouldn't share if they asked me too at this time.
Well I could think about it again at that time.
How much would they pay me?
I've got an sbs-1er and share with FR24. I sent off the Airnav form last week and got an email from someone called Andre Brandao asking for my IP address and exact location.
He says he needs my IP address to setup my feed. I gave him it and now he wants my full name and full address and says I cant share if I dont give him it.
I asked if we get free apps and premium but he wont answer.
I told him forget it.
Has anyone else applied to share with RadarBox24 and were you asked for your full name and address?
Seems out of order to be asking for such detail as a physical address.
Also seems a bit daft to be asking for an IP address as most people don't have a static address.
DHCP and lease expiry times surely conspire to make that question irrelevant?
And NO, I wouldn't share with AirNav RB24.
Not that I've ever used any of their products, but I can read and comprehend :)
Cheers,
Keef.
I saw in Radarbox24 Facebook page - someone complained Radarbox24 deleted his bad comments.
Radarbox24 Facebook invited readers to comment - good or bad -
Anyone seen/tried the sharing software? wouldn't suprise me if they just use fr24's and hacked it to send to their servers instead :-\
