Good day everyone, I hope some one could give me some advice.
I am running a dongle in to rtl1090 and then using adsbScope to veiw plotted aircraft, but would like to start a database for aircraft seen.
I hsve been searching for the lsst couple of days now and thought installing NavData.db3 would be the answer. But I can not find a copy that I can download.
Maybe I have been heading in the wrong direction as I am completely new to using dongles to pick up aircraft and any advice would be much appreciated.
Regards Danny :-X

Hi Anmar, many thanks for your speedy reply. Unfortunately I have already tryed this twice and seems to restrict me to sbs veiw.
Every time I run basestation this way, AdsbScope fails...
It's a choice between adsbScope or Basestation.
Hi all, I thought I would just post a update.
Currently I have Virtual Radar taking data from rtl1090 and passing onto AdsbScope.
I have tryed in vain to send this data to Base station on another port.
So downloaded Virtual Radar data base plug in and plsced my sqb file inthe default location.
Not 100% yet this has worked, but seems to be at this point..

Which is better and more user friendly ?
I want to run my DVB-T dongle ( with rtl1090 ) and ....
Hi birdie personally I like the display of adsbScope but I can't seem to find a database for looking back at, which is in basestation.
After my first post I have played and played and thought I would just update/share my current system in brief. I will if members want publish more details at the weekend, but this system shows tracked aircraft how I like and saves flight data.
So here we go
Dongle into rtl1090
rtl1090 into Virtual Radar ( virtual radar can send info to multiple programs, I have 3 programs taking a feed from VR)
Firstly adsbScope on port 33004 passthrough
Secondly, Acards on port 30003 basestation, which also feeds Active Display. It can also feed plane plotter but I dont bother to run this every day.
All Basestation documents are left in the defult folder and Virtual Radar has the Database Writer plug in installed, which is aimed at the base station folder with the sqb file.
This is working perfectly for me, but it must be noted that I am a complete novice and only suggesting what is possible.
Regards Danny
So just to recap why I have so programs running
Virtual Radar a hub and populating sqb file
adsbScope to veiw aircraft on map
Acards to collect route data
Active Display populating sqb file.
Active Display Lite which is free would not run on my system but the
full program does, currently on a 30 day free trial
Basestation Reporter to view flight recorded.
Hope that clarifys things...
