SBS-3 Firmware L_0301_0000_01191.
Output of I and Q data
This version of the firmware allows the SBS-3 to output I and Q data derived from SDR
channel 1. This allows the SBS-3 to be used with the SDR Sharp application, which
provides frequency-domain displays of the radio data from the SDR channel. The sample
rate of the I and Q data is 192k samples per second, allowing a bandwidth of
approximately 180 kHz to be displayed (after filtering), 90 kHz either side of the channel
centre frequency.
To use this feature, you must connect to the SBS-3 using Ethernet rather than the USB
port. This is because the required data rate is higher than that supported by the SBS-3ʼs USB port.
Note - while I and Q data is being output SDR channel 1 cannot be used for other
functions and Wideband FM demodulation cannot be performed. However channels 2 to 6
can be used for other functions as normal.

Hi
Is the link for the firmware broken only downloads as a htm doc
Ok sorted it out
Brian
Tried updating a few times now, but it is still showing the previous version 118. Anyone else experienced this?
When doing a firmware upgrade they recommend you run it a couple of times. I have just done that and it still showed v118. However, although I had removed the aerial, I did forget the other tip - that is to remove and replace the USB connection and then restart BaseStation - that did the trick and I now show as on firmware 119.
Regards Mike
As Mike says, remove the cable (and replace if you're not usually connected by Ethernet) and restart Basestation.
Excellent, all sorted now!
Thanks
Has anybody been able to run this additional SDR program via BaseStation?
All setup OK according to the release notes but doesn't seem to connect using various IP and port addresses available.

Hi,
I've managed to get something working -- I don't understand all the options / intricacies of SDRSharp.
What I did was update the Firmware and Software. SBS-3 on ethernet. Run Basestation on a PC connected to the SBS-3. Set Basestation menu > Built-in Radio > check I+Q Enable.
Run SDRSharp and set 'Kinetic SDR Interface' with Host IP as 127.0.0.1 and TCP Port as 30009.
Hope that helps.
Regards
Stuart
Thanks Stuart, tried that setting but still not working.
Success when using the SBS3 direct without BaseStation but when via BS using various IP settings - no success. See the blue indicator but no green.
