Title: New Computer
Post by: Saudistu on September 15, 2013, 06:40:38 AM
I bought a Shuttle-PC (XS35V3L) to be able to run Basestation and Planeplotter 24/7 as it only uses 40w of power. Having set everything up I find that I have now got a new sharer code for this system. I have checked the network items and it says I am user "Cx" now (for this setup). The RAW data valid down says yes, but the raw data up says no. Is this because I need the Ground Station to be validated first ? I have requested it, but so far no reply and the problem is that I am also a SMU for Southern Germany. Since Yahoo Groups changed to the new format it is a pain in the **** to find anything on there. You cannot do a normal search anymore (looking for info) and it seems less messages are being posted. I have not changed any router settings so the only thing I can think of is that the new PC has a different IP that needs to be confirmed at the PP server end.

Thanks for any advice. I thought I would have had some sort of reply by now, but maybe the PP guys are away on a jolly or something :)

UPDATE: Just seen a reply and I forgot to change the Port Forwarding over to the new PC in the router. I didn't realise that port forwarding was specific to a PC, I thought it just opened those ports to any connected device. Hopefully it will be validated later today.
