Hi Big Fellow Don't waste money buying a antenna for scanning a old CB antenna works fine if its not to long .I use a old k40 sometimes. IF my memory serves me well the 72 has a gap from 175 mhz to 410 mhz so Uhf military can't be used. But all civilian can.
