Title: Kinetic Support
Post by: Chris-G0WTZ on March 05, 2012, 10:44:22 AM
SBS support by Kinetic

As most of you know I try and respond to support issues quickly and the guys on this forum offer excellent support as well!
However there are now 4 forums and two yahoo groups which cover things basestation where I get asked for help regularly.

To help those that need help quickly if your chosen forum or group does not give you a solution on Kinetic related issues please either post on our forum  (http://www.kinetic.co.uk/forums/viewforum.php?f=27&sid=594cb5f5db9785733bfb3f0791d9d67e) or email support@kinetic.co.uk

I like to look at these forums when time permits but I look at the Kinetic Forum and support emails most days.

So please help me to help you by contacting me

Thanks

I'm not sure what's happening about new members on the Kinetic Forum?  The newest member joined on 28th January 2012 so maybe the forum is now closed to new applications?

I signed up, too.
My account is still inactive, too.
I send three emails to the support address within the last two weeks.
No one is ever answering from Kinetics.

So what can I do?

There's not much more you can do.  I'm surprised that your membership application hasn't been approved.  There have been two new Kinetic forum members joined in April so something's happening.

I've emailed Chris at Kinetic with a link to your post.  Maybe that will help?

I am getting PM's sent to me and I do not have the resources to monitor the forums and read all the PM's so if you want me please email support@kinetic.co.uk and I will deal with it swiftly

Please do not be offended I do not respond to PM's on here and several other forums only emails and PM's on our own forum

Thanks

I quite understand Chris.

To make things easier, members can opt to receive PMs either from:

1. All Members, except those on their Ignore List
2. Buddies and Administrators Only
3. Administrators Only

Additionally you can add members to your Ignore List.

These settings are in the member Profile->Modify Profile.

What do customers do if they don't get any response from support@kinetic.co.uk?

Other than the automated email acknowledgment.

Post a complaint on here.  No point sending Chris a PM as he's not going to read it.

I must admit I'm seeing a few posts here and elsewhere about emails to Kinetic support not being answered.  Maybe Chris will now have more time for support?

I wrote two or three mails to support@kinetic.co.uk,
I wrote a mail to info@ kinetic.co.uk and
I wrote a message on the kinetic website,
there is absoluteley nobody reacting!

Meanwhile I think this is offending, because I see people
from Kinetic reading this here, but they still think it is not nessecary to react! So this seems to be on purpose!

I bought a product from them and expect some kind of support. It is that easy.

I'm surprised to hear these reports as Kinetic and Chris Taylor were always very good at responding to support requests.

Maybe write a letter and post it to the man who owns Kinetic:

Other than the automated email acknowledgment.

There are a few options here
Check your spam
If I get a support email I answer normally within a couple of days so if you did not get a reply either your content was empty or I have not seen it
You can call me ++44(0) 208 343 0333
You can email info@kinetic.co.uk

Regards

@KineticChris:

Hallo Chris,

What you are writing here is simply not true.
Please see my post above. I mean, more than doing exactly what you are writing and than still not getting any response -
what else do you expect from your customers to do, to get some kind of reaction?

Marcus

Hi Marcus

Send Chris a copy of your email to info@kinetic.co.uk and post here the date and time you sent it.  Ask for a send receipt.

Then wait and see if Chris replies within 48 hours?

If he replies or doesn't, post here again.

Hallo Amner,

this is a good idea.

So, I resend the mail just now, Sat 28.04.2012 14:05 CEST
to info@kinetic.co.uk and support@kinetic.co.uk
and got an automated response right away.

My other tries were as following:

I created an useraccount 'westerm' on 05.04.2012 that never has been activated.
I got an positive automated reaction on
creating an useraccount

Send mails on:

14.04.2012 16:04 CEST to support@kinetic.co.uk
16.04.2012 08:13 CEST to support@kinetik.co.uk
20.04.2012 15:24 CEST to support@kinetic.co.uk
20.04.21012 15:39 CEST to info@kinetic.co.uk
and one mail via kinetic websit on 26. or 27.04.2012
For every mail I received an automated response.

Let's see what will happen.

Marcus

Hi Marcus

It was the same for me I emailed the support and info email addresses jsut as you have done, each time I received a automated response but nothing else. There was nothing in my spam folder either.

This does not matter for me now since I no longer have the SBS3's.

Kinetic have now contacted me having found my emails.

The problem was that my signature had a link to my web site and that was put in to their spam folder by AVG. The AVG version they had installed defaulted to do this for signature links.

They have now corrected this and the issues I raised.

All is now well, Thanks.

Thanks for giving us that update.
That information should help others running those type of AVG on websites.

The problem was that my signature had a link to my web site and that was put in to their spam folder by AVG.

I still get emails to my business address and, typically, hundred plus a day go to a Spam trap.  Those that get to my desktop go through a further spam filter.

It takes less than a minute to visually scan all the "spam" emails once a day and release the valid ones.
