Hi all,
I am proud to share with you my new JSTARS release: 2.0.0
"JSTARS is a standalone desktop application for Windows systems and it works together virtual radar like Kinetic Aviation SBS-1 connected to the PC via USB port. It should have to work also with other virtual radars that use Kinetic protocol shared typically in the 30003 port for third part software (addon and plugins).
JSTARS is able to detect airplanes in two main groups: Civilian and Military-Government.
It means every time an airplane is detected by your virtual radar, your JSTARS could log it and could notify you about this detection.
In the next version, it will be possible to detect and to notify also airplanes you want to monitor by a custom list.
In this version, JSTARS wants to provide a wide help and support to all air traffic monitors, in particular all guys wanna log military and government air traffic.
JSTARS offers also the new feature called "POI Point of Interest", giving you the opportunity to monitor all air traffic around a fixed point or an airport.
An advanced notification system allows you to receive information about what your radar has detected anytime and anywhere you are, thanks to email, Facebook, Twitter and web and coming soon also by your Windows Phone smartphone!
JSTARS 2.0.0 has been totally rebuilt and new technologies and professional knowledge have been applied thanks to our cooperation with a famous airline with whom we worked for about one year for a customized version."

Thanks for posting.
Is this free software or is there a licence fee to pay?
It needs a license fee to pay.
About 4 hours limited time to try it with no license.
I'd like to know if it works rightly with newer SBS-1 versions than mine (SBS-1 5V) and AirNav RadarBox.
How much is the licence fee and is it one-off or recurring?

Web page shows 20.00 Euros for version 2.0 to version 2.99 updates.
FYI
Alas, my old SBS-1 is now in the landfill... :-)
First impressions:
Seems to work with SBS-3 - but please turn off all the Facebook crap as default - I don't want to check through menus to disable - almost enough to make me delete this without trying it out!
Why not calculate POI from location of radar instead of airport? Seems to be partly there anyway since if I put in location but don't change POI, program finds nearby hits.
Need to try out the webpage but not sure there is enough to make me spend 20 euros.

19.99 Euro for new users
9.99 Euro for old JSTARS version users
I wrote it's valid from 2.0.0 to 2.9.9 version - for my experience, based on previous JSTARS, it means license will be valid for all versions/updates for about 10 years.

IanH thanks for your feedback.
I'll try to reply to you hoping I understood your items.
Ok, Facebook options will be disabled by default, users will decide if activate them or not.
They are not crap things. It's an interesting feature that allows to share for the first time datas in the most famous social network as Facebook and Twitter, because many enthusiasts are moved to these social platforms to share their air traffic datas in real time. JSTARS wanna offer this opportunity.
POI can be configured.
If you like to set it over your location, just choose fix option and put coordinates - you'll obtain what you wish.
But POI feature allows much more. If your radar coverage is enough good and distance from an airport is good, you can use JSTARS as monitor of air traffic of that airport, having a log of who takeoffs or lands there. You can offer also a service (pay or free) to your friend or people interested to have this kind of infos in real time (by monitoring web page created by JSTARS or datas shared in a Facebook dedicated group).
Ok that was my opinion of Facebook and also Twitter. Never been interested in either of them and probably never will.
I don't share my life with the world ;D

Very sensible. Twitter and Facebook are so "2014". Soon be out of fashion.

I don't understand the social networking interfaces, but I think it could offer a good way to share data globally for free. Course, you'd have to get a social media account, and there really is an age limit as to how that relates to your life (ha).
I got really bored when these damned google maps tracking sites became popular. I'm waiting for them to f'n die, as people find out how limiting they are (something I find completely uninspiring).
I think the next generation sharing will be more user oriented. That is, the user can select what area(s) they want to watch.
