Morning folks,
Time for my usual daft question.
With adsbScope I can click on a plane and it records it to a text file (see attached) Is there anything within Basestation or can be added on that can do this as well.
Reason, whilst travelling on a train to/from work if I have the basestation on I cannot always have a notebook handy to use.

Have you tried using the Interested option?
Would that mean setting up the planes in advance?
I will set up all the Austrian registered planes in advance when I get a minute. Just wondered if it was possible to click a plane to record it in some way.
btw,
Can you point me in the direction of how to install specific logos created by the great lads on here to specific planes?
Is it in Active Display Lite or basestation? Just like to have some more interesting Logos/Silhouettes etc.
I have also been following the Bones tutorial to enhancing Basestation.
If Basestation detects an aircraft it creates a record in the Basestation.sqb file which you can view with the BasestationRepoter viewer that comes with the software.
You can check the Interested option in Basestation and when you get home you can use Reporter to view those records with Interested set. See the Basestation Reference manual.
There's a free Guide here to OperatorFlags and Silhouettes:

Thanks for hte link to the Logos installing doc :)
Printed and ready to read on the way home 8)
I think I'll change the way I note things down. Start by writing (if I can get the notebook out) the reg and a time. Then checking the reporter/ADL when I get home.
I won't be online on the train or at somewhere like LCY, so I will have to manually update the sqb file when I get home I do this through reporter ?
You do not need to be online to update the Basestation.sqb file.
Thanks mate.
I read through the guide and you mention FlightDisplay.
Will it work with my set up?
Dongle and Basestation.
How are you getting Basestation to process your Dongle received data?
Dongle > RTL1090, com0com, BAT files, Basestation
btw,
When I put in the plane reg into the Operator Flag Code field will it get overwritten ever ?
Flight Display is accessing the Basestation.sqb file so it should work OK if you tell it the correct folder location.
Cheers, I d/l the 64bit version last night and will have a go tonight also d/l the Aircraft List Configurator so over the weekend I shall have a dabble.
I intend to backup all the ini files and sqb etc first :)
ALC is a very useful utility.
Anmer ... you rock ..
Thanks for Flight Display I love it but I have a couple of questions you may know the answers to.
1. None of the 12 Austrian Airlines flights have populated (my favourite Airline) any info at all, a few other airlines are also doing the same.
AUA462R,16:09:00,OE-LDC,,,,,NF 83,0,0,0,101.5,250.0,3456,A319
2. Also I clicked the autostart in the menus, but FD does not start when Safestation does.
3. Does FD recorded every flight or just the ones I click on in Basestation?
Thanks :)
1. How do you mean "not populated"?
2. Autostart. From memory that means starts populating not launching FD.
3. Again from memory, FD records the Basestation map screen.
I don't have my SBS setup here as I'm in rented accommodation and can't get the external antenna setup, so I'm having to rely on memory. Not a too reliable at my age.
1. example:
Currently G-EUPZ is nearby with callsign BAW59G in the FD it shows:
G-EUPZ [A319] British Airways (BAW59G) - No Flight Data.
This always happens to Austrian Airlines which is the one airline i always want to know about. Plus most Ryanair, Swiss and a few others.
2. Ok thanks :)
3. What I meant was when the aircraft appears on the Basestation, and in the Aircraft list, does FD automatically look for that flight or do I always have to click on a aircraft in the list to get FD to look up the flight info.
1. So no route? What route lookup services have you set in FD?
3. Have you set Autopopulate?
1. Attached how I set it up.
2. Auto populate is enabled (See attached).
Can you suggest the best logging and/or look up please.
