Hello,
Just Noticed the SBS-3 SDR receiver has gone deaf and will not pick up the local EGGP airport traffic on VHF am.
ADSB on 1090mHz is completely working as normal.
Confirmed this by connecting the same antenna and coax leads to a different radio, with normal operation.
Has anyone sent there SDR back for repair and would i be correct in thinking its Taylor made RF Systems.
The downside will be UG PlanePlotter will be non operational during the repair stage.

You might want to give a response to the question Mike (Anmer) asked in the other thread you started?
QuoteHow are you powering the SBS-3?
If you don't give the SBS-3 enough power, it won't work for
both ADSB and SDR.
I know - I thought mine was broken until I used more than one USB cable to provide power.
Ian,
Has been working fine and streaming audio with no problems.
Powered with an Apple power adaptor as recommended by Chris Taylor some years ago.
I suspect Static damage is the cause of low sensitivity, does receive local signals on SDR
Nice Thought tho :)

Hi Guys,
Massive Thank-you must go to Chris Taylor, for his time and support in getting the SBS-3 Repaired and Returned.
PlanePlotter Ug ground station is back in operation and passing all network checks.
Satcom, please can you monitor my traffic and confirm, all is operating as normal.
Had a bit of an issue with IP Address causing conflict via Ethernet switch but working now.
Kind Regards
Paul
