Title: Faulty Dongle? Faulty Software? Faulty ????
Post by: LX-LGN on June 25, 2014, 03:26:11 PM
Not sure what the problem is.

Running Windows 7.
Using a DVB-T Dongle and RLT1090.

Rebooted laptop and reinserted the dongle as well.

Worked on Saturday.
Today not working :(

Below are two screen dumps from the rTL1090.

Anyone can help me with what might be the problem please.

What's the problem?  Is RTL1090 "stalling" during launch?

Launches ok but appears to get to the line below in Mode-S

"DO260A then some symbols
Started"

then stops doing anything :(

Tried clicking on Mode-AC it's blank :(

I'd try a fresh download of RTL1090 into a different folder and launch it from there.

If you get the same results, maybe the DVB-T has an issue or the antenna connection is bad?

Sounds like a faulty device/antenna.

Looks like no ADSB for me until late August. :(

Thanks Anmer.

RTL1090 appears to recognise the DVB-T so a replacement should be OK being "just plugged in".

Do you have an alternative PC you could try?  Installing Zadig first.

I have reinstalled Zagzig.

I have downloaded and reinstalled RTL1090 - IMU (Installer and Maintenance Utility)

I have rebooted.

And still getting the same corrupt data :(

I have reinstalled Zagzig.

On the same PC?

If the drivers are messed up, I have yet to find a solution to remove them and reinstall from Zadig.

Do you have a different USB port you can try?

I wouldn't go the reformat route yet.

Do you have access to another PC/laptop, even a friend's, where you can test the DVB-T sticks?

OK .. Got it working.

I removed the drivers.

Deleted out ALL the old RTL1090 files.

Used  RTL1090 - IMU (Installer and Maintenance Utility)

Followed the instructions (again lol).

Ran RTL1090 and BINGO it worked. :)

Stopped RTL1090 removed new dongle.

Inserted Old Dongle, ran RTL1090 and BINGO - it works!

Looks like removing the RTL and drivers and reinstalling did the trick :)

Good to know you got it working and sharing how.

I suspect the drivers were OK and RTL1090 was the issue.  RTL1090 launched OK and found the device.  If the drivers are bad, it doesn't find the DVB-T.
