Radarspotting

First gentlemen please excuse my ignorance.
I run base station on two laptops. I use SBS resources to download registrations.
Regarding registrations and other aircraft details I am trying hard to continually update.
To help with this I use BSA from Aerodata e.g. put many registrations into base station that are missing.
Do I save the base station SQB file so that I can then paste this into the base station file on my other laptop and keep all the same. Until now I just enjoy spotting the planes but I am now trying to get a bit more involved and have more understanding.
Thank you for your assistance and patience. Maybe I should have stayed with ships in my retirement!!!
Thank you
Mariner
What many do is copy the recently updated BaseStation.sqb file to the PC that's going to be used to gather more data. And then copy the updated sqb file from that PC to the other one if that's going to be used going forward.
Treat the currently updated sqb file as the "Master" and keep copying it to the PC that will take over data gathering from your receiver.
Just replace the older sqb file on whichever PC is connected to the receiver.
BUT....
Make sure you know the folder location for the "active" BaseStation.sqb file on each PC. The dreaded Virtual Store may be involved on one or the other.
Good Morning,
Thank you for the guidance and advice.
Rgds/Mariner.
Hi Mariner
as Anmer alrdy pointed out exchanging the SQB is the best failsafe way for ones update.
But you cannot integrate an updated SQB into a meanwhile continued SQB.
When deciding to individually update your missing regs manually then
depending on your habits and time spent on this hobby you have to concider when best
to shutdown BS and either open up with BS-Reporter to amend your entries,
or copy this active SQB to other notebook to make update from there and later replace that again
before starting BS.
It is most useful to minimize the 'workload' after each day, that whenever feasable to fill in
missing regs/data on the running BS via AircraftList > Aircraft Details window > add/edit details
and looking up online from your favorite DB-Site like GAS, Airframe, Libhome Radar, FR24 and more.
When bookmarked previously and with a little routine you can fill in the blanks before the target vanish completely.
Good Day,
Once again thank you I will endeavour to get things right in the best way.
