Title: USAF Rivet Joint a/c infringes Swedish airspace in a hurry.
Post by: Watson-Watt on August 05, 2014, 04:02:06 PM
A USAF RC-135 on a SIGINT mission over the Baltic entered Swedish airspace without clearance when it aborted its mission.

It seems that a Russian radar illuminated the aircraft prompting a decision to leave the area with some despatch although that probably isn't the full story.

Presumably the aircraft squawked both prior to, and after, the operational phase of the flight, so I wondered if it cropped up in anyone's ADS-B log.
