From Bev at COAA:
I have just written to a long list of PlanePlotter users who are registered as Ground Stations (and therefore enjoying free Master User status) but who are not responding to raw data requests.
Each of them is showing a generic Virgin IP address and not the real IP address so the Ground Station functions all fail.
If you are a Ground Station and a Virgin customer, please exercise your Help..Test networking functions to ensure that you are not failing those tests.
If you fail the tests, please either disable the WebSafe function in your Virgin account or go to your Internet settings and change your DNS server to 8.8.8.8, which apparently avoids the problems that Virgin have created.
This has been discussed here several times recently but the number of affected users still continues to grow.! There are even one or two 'senior' users - who have contributed massive amounts of data over a long period - who are now completely dysfunctional thanks to the Virgin changes.

I am a Virgin user - the problem is definetely Web Safe. If you don't use it you don't have a problem.
I had the problem here a few weeks ago and noticed a post on the virgin forums about it. disabling websafe or using googles public dns server at 8.8.8.8 both resolve the issue.
