It's back up and running.
Share code back to the one I had before the crash. Share status working.
A big thanks to John & Bev.
An a Big Thanks from Me.
Still some way to go , but we are getting there
All of this will create a bigger , better PP , so perhaps we should regard the server disk failure as a blessing in disguise ;D
Had a few of them in my time John.
Doesn't help when you have hundreds of irate members giving grief though.
I think most are frustrated , rather than irate
Reading across the forums it has made them realise that PP offers so much more than the other trackers

Sorry John, I recall PP outages when Bev was travelling in Australia/New Zealand.

I read your words. Perhaps next time you should define "such an outage".
If it's not working, it's not working.
Another Big Thank You to Bev and John.
Also got my share code back and things seem to be getting back to normal. :)

No need Mike...I can always rely on you to criticise my posts .....whatever ! ;D
I'm not criticising your posts, merely offering a helpful suggestion to avoid future misunderstandings.
Moving on, if this outage was a result of a disk failure, perhaps someone should consider a fail safe arrangement, such as RAID?
I'm sure the other "flight trackers" have built-in redundancy.
